The fire-resistant mica tape, referred to as mica tape, is a kind of fire-resistant insulating material, which can be divided into: fire-resistant mica tape for motors and fire-resistant mica tape for fire-resistant cables. According to the structure, it can be divided into: double-sided tape, single-sided tape, three in one tape, double film tape, single film tape, etc. According to mica, it can be divided into synthetic mica zone, phlogopite zone and muscovite zone.

Normal temperature performance: synthetic mica tape is the best, followed by muscovite tape, and phlogopite tape is the worst.

Insulation performance at high temperature: synthetic mica tape is the best, followed by phlogopite tape, and muscovite tape is the worst.

High temperature resistance: synthetic mica tape fluorophlogopite tape, free of crystal water, with a melting point of 1375 ℃, large safety margin, and the best high temperature resistance. The phlogopite releases crystal water above 800 ℃, followed by high temperature resistance, and the muscovite releases crystal water at 600 ℃, with poor high temperature resistance.

Fire resistant mica tape for fire resistant cable

The fire-resistant mica tape for fire-resistant cable is a high-performance mica insulating product, which has excellent high-temperature resistance and combustion resistance. The mica tape has good flexibility in normal state, and is suitable for the main fire-resistant insulation layer of various fire-resistant cables. There is basically no volatilization of harmful smoke in case of open fire burning, so this product is not only effective but also safe for cables.

1. Synthetic mica fire-resistant mica tape

Synthetic mica is a kind of artificial mica with large size and complete crystal form, which is synthesized under normal pressure by replacing hydroxyl with fluorine ion. Synthetic mica tape is made of mica paper made of synthetic mica as the main material, and then pasted glass cloth on one or both sides with adhesive. The glass cloth pasted on one side of mica paper is called "single-sided tape", and the glass cloth pasted on both sides is called "double-sided tape". In the manufacturing process, several structural layers are bonded together, dried in the furnace, rolled, and then cut into belts of different specifications.

In addition to the characteristics of natural mica tape, namely, small expansion coefficient, high dielectric strength, high resistivity and even dielectric constant, the synthetic mica tape is mainly characterized by high heat resistance, which can reach Class A fire resistance level (950-1000 ℃). The temperature resistance of synthetic mica tape is greater than 1000 ℃, the thickness range is 0.08-0.15 mm, and the maximum supply width is 920 mm.

A. Three in one: This product is made of glass cloth and polyester film on both sides, with mica paper sandwiched in the middle. The ribbon insulating material is made of amine borane epoxy resin as adhesive, after bonding, baking and cutting;

B. Double sided synthetic mica tape: with synthetic mica paper as the base material, glass fiber cloth as the double-sided reinforcement material, and silicone resin adhesive as the bonding material, it is the best choice for manufacturing fire-resistant wires and cables. The fire resistance is the best, and it is recommended to be used in key projects.

C. Single sided synthetic mica tape: With synthetic mica paper as the base material and glass fiber cloth as the single-sided reinforcement material, it is the best choice for manufacturing fire-resistant wires and cables. Good fire resistance, recommended for key projects.

2. Phlogopite fire-resistant mica tape

The phlogopite series mica tape has good fire resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corona resistance and radiation resistance, and has good flexibility and tensile strength, which is suitable for high-speed winding. The fire resistance test shows that the wire and cable wrapped with phlogopite tape can ensure no breakdown for 90 min under the temperature of 840 ℃ and voltage of 1000 V.

The phlogopite glass fiber fire-resistant tape is widely used in high-rise buildings, subways, large power plants, important industrial and mining enterprises and other places related to fire safety and fire rescue, such as the power supply lines and control lines of emergency facilities such as fire-fighting equipment and emergency guide lights. Because of its low price, it is the preferred material for making fire-resistant cables.

A. Double sided tape: It uses phlogopite paper as the base material and glass fiber cloth as the double-sided reinforcement material, mainly used to make the fire-resistant insulation layer between the core wire and the outer skin of the fire-resistant cable. It has good fire resistance and is recommended to be used in ordinary projects.

B. Single side tape: the phlogopite paper is used as the base material, and the glass fiber cloth is used as the single side reinforcement material, which is mainly used for the fire-resistant insulation layer of the fire-resistant cable. It has good fire resistance and is recommended to be used in ordinary projects.

C. Three in one area: It uses phlogopite paper as the base material, glass fiber cloth and carbon free film as the single-sided reinforcement material, mainly used for fire-resistant cable as the fire-resistant insulation layer. It has good fire resistance and is recommended to be used in ordinary projects.

D. Double film tape: It uses phlogopite paper as the base material and plastic film as the double-sided reinforcement, mainly used for motor insulation layer. The fire resistance performance is poor, and the use of fire resistant cables is strictly prohibited.

E. The single film tape is made of phlogopite paper and reinforced on one side by plastic film. It is mainly used for motor insulation. The fire resistance performance is poor, and the use of fire resistant cables is strictly prohibited.
